Summer is the second season of the year. When summer comes, it is getting hot and sunny. The days are getting longer and the nights are getting shorter, for thesun gets up early and goes to bed late.
The world has become a green world, green leaves on the trees, green grass by theriver, green plants in the fields, and we can see beautiful flowers everywhere. Birds sing from morning till night.
It’s so hot that all of the children go swimming in rivers or lakes, and the old peoplesit under big trees to enjoy the cool air, but the farmers are still busy working in the fields.
I had a very busy day last Sunday.I ate breakfast after I get up,then I did my homework in the morning and watched TV at noon.Then in the afternoon,I finished my homework and played computer games before dinner.I ate dinner at 7 o’clock.After that,I went out to play basketball for about two hours,then I watched TV again till I go to bed.I really had a busy Sunday,but I enjoyed it!

Last week we had the school sports meet on our school sports ground. All my classmates took active parts in it. Sometimes we watched the sports games closely.Sometimes we gave loud cheers to the sports members.
John took a part in 1500-metre race. He was the fastest runner in the race and won the first place. Lisa did not do well in high-jump, so we said “come on” to cheer her up. I took part in 200-metre running race. As soon as I heard the starting PANG, I tried my best to run faster than others. As I was running I could hear “Come on! Come on!”from my classmates.This gave me great strenth. Finally I was the first person to get to the finishing line.I was number one.
As a result, my class won the first prize in the sports meet. How proud we were! It was really an exciting day.
