be able to、can同may的區(qū)別較明顯，前者是可以，后者是可能 。be able to同can的區(qū)分就不那么簡單了 。二者最主要的區(qū)別是時態(tài)上 。如果的填充題，就要看一句句子是否有動詞的問題 。具體解釋如下：一般強調(diào)將來語態(tài)時，只能用be able to.如will be able to do that?如果說can you do that?就沒有強調(diào)將來語態(tài)的意思了 。另外，如果是填空題，When will you ......... come and see us in our new house? The auxiliary “can” is a so called defective verb because there is no infinitive form and no past participle. This means that you have to use other words to replace these missing parts. You use the infinitive after will and so you use the alternative form be able, which acts as the substitute.
