Some television shows are better than others. 電視節目有些好，有些差。
They think that some people are better than others. 他們總認為一些人比另一些人好。
This car belongs to Smith, and he has two others besides. 這輛車是史密斯的，他另外還有兩輛。
Some people are meat-eaters; others are vegetarians. 有些人是肉食者，有些人是素食者。
You must set an example for others by good behaviour. 你必須以良好的行為為別人樹立榜樣。

01The other
特指兩個或兩部分中的另一個或另一部分，可接單數或者復數名詞，表示兩個中“一個……另一個……”，常用結構式為：one...the other...
e.g.1.He has two brothers,one is a teacher, the other is a docter.他有兩個弟弟，一個是老師，另一個是醫生。2.There are 48 students in our class,some work hard,but the other studentsdon’t.我們班有48個學生，一些學習努力，其余的學生不努力。
02The others
特指某一范圍內的“其他的(人或物)”相當于the other+名詞復數，指剩余的全部。
e.g.There are 48 students in our class,some work hard,but the others don’t.我們班有48個學生，一些學習努力，其余的不努力。
03Other
“其他的，另外的”位于名詞前做定語。
e.g.We learn chinese,English,math and other subjects.我們學習語文、英語、數學和其他的學科。
04Others
相當于other+名詞復數,指剩余的另一些，并非全部。
e.g.1.Some students are doing homework,but others are talking loudly.一些學生正在做作業，但是其他的再大聲講話。2.A lot of people are in the park, some are singing,others are dancing.許多人在公園里面，一些在唱歌，其他的再跳舞。
05Another
泛指同類事物中三者或三者以上中“另一個”，只能代替或修飾單數可數名詞。
e.g.I don’t like this one,please show me another.注意：another+名詞單數=one more+名詞單數 another+數詞+名詞復數=數詞+more/other+名詞復數e.g.1.I want to have another apple. =I want to have one more apple. 我想再吃一個蘋果。2.We need another ten chairs. =We need ten more/other chairs. 我們還需要十把椅子。
